Paul has been a martial artist over 30 years. A Club, Association and Regional Karate Coach for 25 years. A England and Gt Britain Senior Team member through the 1990’s. A coach to WKF English, British and World Youth medalists and champions aswell as European and World medalists and Champions in Light and Full amateur kickboxing. A Regional Coach for seven and half years, winning 5x National Inter-Regional Team Titles and Coaching Association Squads to first place at English and British championship.
Paul has taught and presented at FE and HE establishments and presented physiological research in WKF Sport Karate and Full contact Karate at the British Association of Sport and Exercise Science (BASES) and International Sport and Ergonomic Conferences. A S&C Coach for 10 years at Lawn tennis association High performance centre in the 2000’s and S&C Coach to LTA Gt Britain players, Davis cup players and World top 100, 50 and 10 tennis players.
Paul has worked, developed and presented programmes and systems for Premiership football clubs, National Conferences, Commonwealth Games athletes, World and European Karate medalists, British Professional Top 10 boxers, PGA Golf and LTA Tennis programmes. He as also worked as a consultant to LWT’s Gladiators, Ice Warriors and Hickstead International Showjumping.
Within all of these areas Paul has worked in many interdisciplinary teams and units. His coaching and professional philosophy is’…..a team of like minded professionals will always be a greater force for the athlete than a one dimensional approach. A team allows for greater creativity and flexibility when the Mission is clear and focused and all individuals have a clear goal.’
